ICT Mumbai collaborates with Mentogram for short-term courses for chemical professionals

ICT Mumbai collaborated with Mentogram for capacity building of chemical industry professionals with an objective to help chemical industries become more efficient, innovative, safe, and sustainable.

Over the last few years, the Indian chemicals sector has exceeded all shareholder expectations, outperforming not just the overall equity market but also the majority of its upstream and downstream industries.

This exceptional growth has been fuelled by consistent revenue expansion, increasing margins, and rise in multiples. The sector is projected to grow at 11-12 percent during 2021-27 and 7-10 percent during 2027-40, tripling its global market share by 2040. India is expected to become $850-1,000 billion chemicals market by 2040, taking 10-12% share of the global chemicals market.

To achieve this unprecedented growth, the chemical industry will require many chemists and chemical engineers passionate for making a positive change in the chemical industry. The proposed course is designed to help all participants understand the necessary fundamentals used in day-to-day life of chemical industry professionals and improve the overall performance of chemical industries in terms of competitiveness, operational ease, safety and sustainability.

Looking at the upcoming requirement of chemical industry professionals, Mentogram in collaboration with ICT, Mumbai has developed a specialized one-week certification program on Chemical Engineering Fundamentals for professionals pursuing their career in chemical industry.

This course offers a unique opportunity to learn in ICT campus from the renowned faculty at ICT and interact with accomplished chemical industry mentors through Mentogram’s learning platform. Participants will gain practical insights, network with industry leaders, and enhance their employability in the fast-evolving chemical engineering sector. The course will be conducted from 2nd June to 6th June 2025 and enrolment is open till 15th May 2025.
