The project will expand reach to 337 BMA schools and aims to educate 40,000 students by 2025

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global sustainable chemical company, led by Suchitra Lohia, Deputy Group CEO, together with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), led by Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, and the BMA's Education Bureau, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue the joint "Sustainable Plastic Waste Management" project for schools under the BMA for the second consecutive year.

The partnership aims to build on the success from the project’s first year which provided training on sustainable waste management and PET recycling education to over 100 schools across Bangkok. Under the new agreement, the project will offer five new activities and expand its reach to encompass the remaining 337 BMA schools, aiming to educate 40,000 students by 2025.

The Sustainable Plastic Waste Management initiative is a key component of the broader strategy to address plastic waste and advocate for responsible waste management practices within the circular economy framework, particular in terms of PET bottles.
