Production of Dytek A will be relocated to Invista’s Victoria site,
Invista announced its decision to discontinue production at its Maitland, Ontario facility as part of a broader strategy to align operations with current market dynamics.
“We want to recognize and thank the Maitland employees, contractors, and partners who have contributed to Invista’s success over the years,” said Brook Vickery, president and CEO of Invista. “This decision is not a reflection of their efforts, but rather a necessary response to today’s market environment.”
As part of the transition, production of Dytek A will be relocated to Invista’s Victoria site, while the company continues to maintain the strength and reliability of its Texas-based HMD assets. The phased exit from the Maitland site will begin in the coming months, with all activities carefully planned to ensure a safe, orderly, and fully compliant process.
Approximately 100 roles directly supporting Maitland operations will be impacted over the course of this transition. All affected employees will be eligible for severance benefits, and Invistaremains committed to treating every individual with dignity and respect throughout the process.
“Our top priority is ensuring the continued safe operation of our plants as we move through the changes required to implement this decision,” Vickery added.
