However, the company reported a 30.5% drop in consolidated net profit at Rs. 118.81 crore
Industrial gases major Linde India Limited announced its financial performance for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, delivering an expansion in its top-line performance. The company reported a consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 723.20 crore, marking a 12.3% growth year-on-year (YoY) compared to Rs. 644.19 crore registered in the same period during the previous fiscal year.
However, the company reported a 30.5% drop in consolidated net profit at Rs. 118.81 crore for the quarter against Rs. 171 crore in the year-ago period. However, a sequential glance reveals a minor recovery as net profit grew 13.6% compared to the Rs. 104.59 crore logged during Q1 FY27.
The company's strong revenue momentum was largely driven by sustained volume growth and steady pricing performance across its key core divisions, notably industrial and medical gas operations. On a sequential quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, revenue also moved upward by 4.2% from the Rs. 694.36 crore posted in Q1 FY27, showcasing a resilient demand pattern across primary manufacturing segments.
Despite a healthy top-line, the company's profitability faced significant headwinds from escalating operational and input expenses. Linde India’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) contracted by 18% YoY to Rs. 231.58 crore down from Rs. 282.32 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
