However, profitability remained under pressure as rising input and logistics costs offset the benefits of higher revenue

Meghmani Organics Limited (MOL) reported an 18% year-on-year (YoY) jump in standalone revenue from operations to Rs 658.2 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27), while net profit rose 6% to Rs 45.3 crore.

However, profitability remained under pressure as rising input and logistics costs offset the benefits of higher revenue. EBITDA inched up just 1% YoY to Rs 70.9 crore, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 10.8% from 12.6% in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company said elevated input and logistics costs had weighed on its operating margins during the quarter.

The Crop Protection business continued to be the company's largest revenue contributor, accounting for around 75% of overall revenue. The segment reported revenue of Rs 496.7 crore and EBITDA of Rs 54.6 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 11%. Capacity utilisation stood at 72%, while production remained flat year-on-year at 10,019 MT.

The Pigments business contributed around 25% to overall revenue, generating Rs 161.5 crore in revenue and Rs 16.3 crore in EBITDA. Its EBITDA margin stood at 10.1%. Capacity utilisation was 51%, while production increased 13% YoY to 4,252 MT.

For the first half of FY27, Meghmani Organics posted revenue from operations of Rs 1,181.2 crore, up 3% YoY. EBITDA increased 9% to Rs 164.6 crore, while net profit surged 23% to Rs 102.9 crore.

The EBITDA margin for the six-month period stood at 13.9%, compared with 13.1% in H1 FY26.

Commenting on Q2 FY27 performance, Ankit Patel, Chairman & Managing Director, said “We delivered healthy 18% YoY growth in revenue during the quarter, reflecting a continued positive momentum. However, due to sharp increase in input and logistics costs, and realisations remaining broadly flat, our margins during the quarter were impacted.

"While the near-term cost environment remains challenging, we are taking focused measures to optimise our product mix and improve our operating efficiencies.

"I would also like to share that we have received the Hon’ble NCLT’s approval for the amalgamation of our two wholly owned subsidiaries with Meghmani Organics Limited, creating a single, unified legal entity.

"This approval marks an important milestone in our journey. The Scheme will enable us to achieve optimal utilisation of existing resources through consolidation of operations and derive operational and financial synergies through prudent financial management and cost reduction.”

The NCLT approval for the amalgamation of the two wholly owned subsidiaries marks a significant corporate restructuring milestone for Meghmani Organics. The consolidation is expected to streamline operations, improve resource utilisation and generate operational and financial synergies through cost optimisation.
