PM Modi inaugurates Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2024

The Show expects to attract foreign buyers from over 100 countries across various categories including chemicals and pharmaceuticals, food processing, textiles and apparel, automobiles, and engineering etc.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the country's largest Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show-2024 during VGGS-2024 in Gandhinagar. 

During the inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi switched on the display and unveiled the plaque to mark the commencement of the Global Trade Show. The event was graced by the presence of notable figures, including Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of Mozambique, President Dr José Ramos-Horta of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and the Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel. 

As part of the ceremony, Modi introduced an e-coffee table book titled 'The Summit of Success Towards Realization of Fullest Potential of Gujarat,' in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. 

The Prime Minister revealed a 'Commemorative Coin' to honour the first Vibrant Gujarat-2024 Summit of Amrit Kaal and a 'Commemorative Stamp' marking the successful completion of 20 years of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Additionally, the industrial association unveiled an 'Impact Research Report' on the two-decade influence of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit inaugurated by the Prime Minister. 

Distinguished dignitaries toured the International Pavilion, along with the e-Mobility section. During visits to various pavilions, including AatmaNirbhar Gujarat, Smart Infrastructure, and Innovation Techade, the Prime Minister engaged with exhibitors and gathered information. 

During the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Shankar Chaudhary, members of the State Cabinet, MLAs, Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, and leading industrialists from India and abroad were present. The country's largest global trade show, featuring exhibitions and stalls covering an expansive area of two lakh square meters at Helipad Ground Gandhinagar, will be accessible to business visitors on January 10-11, followed by public access on January 12-13.

Upon the arrival of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the brass band of BSF and the pipe band of Gujarat Police extended a warm musical welcome to the dignitaries, including the Prime Minister. 

The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024 features a global trade show with participation from 20 countries, including Australia, Tanzania, Morocco, Mozambique, South Korea, Thailand, Estonia, Bangladesh, Singapore, UAE (United Arab Emirates), UK, Germany, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Russia, Rwanda, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These countries showcase information about their respective industries in this exhibition. Over 1,000 exhibitors from the research sector are expected to participate, presenting ongoing research and innovations across various fields. The trade show has 100 participating countries as visitors and 34 countries as partners. This exhibition highlights cutting-edge products and services in sectors such as agro and food processing, automobiles and auto components, ceramics, chemicals and petrochemicals, gems and jewellery, pharmaceuticals, ports and marine. Additionally, industries including textiles and garments, electric vehicles, green hydrogen, aircraft and allied industries, renewable energy, semiconductors and ESDM, fintech cyber security, AI, and machine learning will serve as focal points of attraction during this trade show. 

In addition, the trade show has designated 13 different themes, including 'Make in Gujarat' and 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat,' across a total of 13 halls. 

Around 450 MSME units are actively participating to contribute to the realization of the Prime Minister's vision of 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat.' The exhibition will emphasise women's empowerment, MSME development, new technology, green and smart infrastructure, and sustainable energy.

A dedicated Techade Pavilion is arranged to showcase IT and ITES startups along with their innovative products and services. Also, activities such as reverse buyer-seller meets and vendor development programs are scheduled during the trade show. 

The central pavilion of this trade show focuses on crucial areas for economic development, highlighting new technology, green and smart infrastructure, and sustainable energy. Various international and theme pavilions are featured at the trade show, such as the Teched Pavilion for Innovation, Gujarat Experience Zone, MSME Pavilion for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Startup and Women Entrepreneurs Pavilion, E-Mobility Pavilion, Blue Economy Pavilion, Knowledge Economy and Startups Pavilion, Make in Gujarat and Atmanirbhar Gujarat Pavilion, and pavilions dedicated to AatmaNirbhar Bharat, sustainability, climate change, hydrogen fuel and electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, and strategic networking opportunities. 

Scheduled for January 11 and 12, 2024, the event will attract foreign buyers from over 100 countries across various categories seeking suppliers in areas like pharmaceuticals and chemicals, ceramics and tiles, food processing, textiles and apparel, automobiles, and engineering.
