Polymer Factory Sweden AB (publ) announced that the European Patent Office has granted its patent for SpheriCal, the company’s proprietary calibrant technology, in multiple European countries.

The patent, titled “Functionalized calibrants for spectrometry and chromatography,” was filed on May 29, 2018, and provides protection for a period of 20 years. Patent rights have now been validated in the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, and Slovenia.

SpheriCal is a unique calibration technology designed to deliver higher precision and reliability in mass spectrometry and chromatography applications. With this granted patent, Polymer Factory strengthens its intellectual property portfolio across Europe, enhancing its ability to serve international customers in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and advanced materials.
