SIBUR has developed a new grade of polypropylene SIBEX PPI030CF for the production of retort packaging used for food and animal feed.

Retort packaging is a modern solution that is an alternative to glass and metal packaging. Such packaging is lighter and more flexible compared to traditional materials, which allows reducing costs per unit of finished product and guaranteeing its safety at all stages of logistics.

Due to its hermetic design, retort packaging allows storing products without refrigeration and can withstand sterilization at temperatures up to 120-130°C. The development of a new brand will allow Russian packaging manufacturers to replace imported polypropylene analogues, and food and animal feed manufacturers to receive an affordable and technologically advanced solution for local production.

The SIBEX PPI030CF brand has optimized flowability and a specially developed stabilization formula, which allows the production of films with high strength characteristics, excellent welding properties and guarantees the tightness of the packaging under sterilization conditions and further use.
