BPCL appoints Kamini Chauhan Ratan as Director

She has been nominated in place of Yatinder Prasad who has ceased to be the director of the company with effect from 20th December, 2022

The Board of Directors of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at its meeting held on 20th December, 2022 has appointed Kamini Chauhan Ratan, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as Government Nominee Director.

Kamini Chauhan Ratan is a senior IAS officer from 1997 Batch. She has graduated in Commerce from Delhi University and has completed L.L.B. and L.LM. She has held various key positions in the Government of India.

She had been Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Joint Magistrate in Agra, Ayodhya, and Lucknow. She has worked as Chief Development Officer in Meerut and initiated several developmental activities in the district. She was Additional Secretary (Women & Child Development), Govt. of Madhya Pradesh & handled Mahila Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam, Madhya Pradesh in the capacity as Managing Director. She was Collector & District Magistrate in Baghpat, Sultanpur, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur, and Meerut. She has been First Lady Collector of Baghpat and Meerut.

She has been awarded the National Award for the best District Electoral Officer by the Election Commission of India. She was also head of the Department of Government of Uttar Pradesh in the capacity of Commissioner, Food Safety & Drug Administration, Inspector General (Registration), Commissioner of Stamps, Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), and Commissioner (Entertainment Tax).

She has been the first lady Inspector General (Registration) and Commissioner of Stamps, U.P., and Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, U.P. She has served as Secretary, Department of Women & Child Development, Secretary (Finance), Secretary (Rural Development) in the state of Uttar Pradesh. She has worked as Joint Secretary (Higher Education), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India and has played a key role in the formulation of National Education Policy, 2020.

Yatinder Prasad, Government Nominee Director has ceased to be director of the company with effect from 20th December, 2022.
