Chacko M. Jose takes charge as Head of BPCL Kochi refinery

With over 35 years of experience across three petroleum refineries in India, Chacko has handled diverse portfolios including operations, technical services, projects, energy, and environment management

Chacko M. Jose assumed charge as the head of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Kochi Refinery on 20 February 2026. As Executive Director (KR), he will lead the operations of the country’s largest public sector petroleum refinery.

A Chemical Engineering graduate from Government Engineering College, Thrissur, he also holds an MBA from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Prior to this role, he headed BPCL’s Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.

With over 35 years of experience across three petroleum refineries in India, Chacko has handled diverse portfolios including operations, technical services, projects, energy, and environment management.

Chacko succeeds M. Sankar, who has been appointed as the head of BPCL’s Mumbai refinery.
