Leading materials manufacturer Covestro announced the appointment of Annie Chen as the new Managing Director of Covestro Taiwan, effective September 1, 2025. She succeeds Dr. Carsten Wildebrand, who will return to Covestro’ headquarters in Germany after completing his tenure on August 31, 2025.
Dr. Wildebrand, who has led Covestro Taiwan since July 2022, successfully steered the company through a period of transformation and growth. Reflecting on his leadership journey, he said:

Annie Chen, currently Head of Supply Chain and Logistics for Taiwan, Korea, New Zealand, and Australia, has been with Covestro and its predecessors since 1996. Over her nearly three decades of service, she has held diverse leadership roles in sales, procurement, customer service, logistics, and supply chain management, including serving as Head of Supply Chain Center for Covestro Greater China. In her new role, Ms. Chen will represent Covestro in Taiwan while continuing to oversee supply chain and logistics operations across Taiwan, Korea, New Zealand, and Australia.
