IFFCO-MC Crop Science has elected veteran cooperative leader Dileep Sanghani as Chairman of the company, marking a major leadership move for one of India’s leading crop protection firms.
The decision was unanimously approved during the company’s 47th Board Meeting held on May 1, 2026, at IFFCO Sadan in New Delhi, in the presence of Board members and senior leadership.
The appointment comes at a crucial phase for Indian agriculture, as the sector undergoes rapid transformation driven by technology, sustainability goals, and rising demands for higher farm productivity. Industry observers see Sanghani’s elevation as a strategic push to strengthen IFFCO-MC’s farmer-focused growth and innovation agenda.
Sanghani, who also serves as Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), is widely regarded as one of the country’s most influential cooperative leaders.
Over the last three decades, he has played a key role in strengthening India’s cooperative movement and currently holds leadership positions in several prominent national and state cooperative bodies, including NAFED, NCUI and GUJCOMASOL.
A four-time Member of Parliament from Gujarat’s Amreli constituency between 1991 and 2004, Sanghani has also served as an MLA and led key ministries in Gujarat, including Agriculture, Cooperation and Animal Husbandry.
IFFCO-MC said Sanghani has been instrumental in shaping farmer-centric policies at IFFCO and is expected to steer the company toward its next phase of expansion and innovation.
Under his leadership, the company plans to accelerate growth by expanding its crop protection portfolio, strengthening farmer outreach through knowledge-led initiatives, and deepening its commitment to sustainable agriculture and value creation for farmers.
IFFCO-MC reaffirmed its focus on delivering high-quality and responsible crop protection solutions aimed at improving productivity, profitability and long-term agricultural sustainability.
Senior leaders including Hajime Kito (Vice Chairman), Naohiro Yoshida (Director), Yogendra Kumar (Director), Manoj Varshney (MD & CEO), Rohit Chopra (Jt. CEO), and Santosh Shukla (COO, IFFCO-MC) congratulated Sanghani and expressed confidence in his ability to guide the company through its next chapter of growth.
