Dr. Peeyush Kumar has joined as Director of Coal Gas India Limited, a joint venture of Coal India Limited and GAIL (India) Limited) for setting up a Coal Gasification project in West Bengal.
He was earlier Managing Director of Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited, a joint venture of CIL and BHEL to support the National Mission on Coal Gasification of Government of India.
BCGCL, a subsidiary of CIL, will promote the indigenous coal gasification technology developed by BHEL to produce ammonium nitrate.
