Dan Ammann, President of our Low Carbon Solutions business, has been named to TIME magazine’s first-ever TIME100 Climate list. The list highlights “100 of the world’s most influential leaders driving climate action in business.

“It’s great to be included in this prestigious list,” Dan said, “and I’m proud of the team’s efforts to advance real solutions that will help reduce the world’s emissions.”

The diverse list also includes Bill Gates, founder of Breakthrough Energy Ventures; John Kerry, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate; and Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency.

Dan joined ExxonMobil in 2022 following a career in Silicon Valley (CEO of Cruise), Detroit (president of General Motors) and Wall Street (managing director at Morgan Stanley). The Low Carbon Solutions business he leads is focused on delivering large-scale emissions-reduction solutions for key industries.

TIME said its editors and reporters fielded nominations and recommendations from industry leaders and partner organizations, as well as TIMECO2’s Advisory Council.
