India appoints Tejveer Singh as new Chemical Secretary

Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Punjab in the Technical Education Department

The Government of India has appointed Tejveer Singh, 1994 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Punjab cadre, as Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India.  He holds a B.A., M.A., and M.Sc. from the London School of Economics. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Punjab in the Technical Education Department, a position he has held since December 11, 2025.

Widely recognized for his strategic decision-making, Tejveer Singh has held multiple critical positions within the Punjab government. He is regarded as an exceptionally capable administrator, adept at navigating governance challenges with clarity and delivering tangible results. 

Singh replaces Nivedita Shukla Verma, IAS (UP:91) upon her appointment as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
