Kishore Vallabhdas Mariwala, KVM, as he was fondly known, an esteemed chemical engineer who carved a distinguished path in the fields of chemical engineering, business, and philanthropy left for heavenly abode.  

Born in 1935, Kishore Mariwala pursued his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Mumbai (now known as the Institute of Chemical Technology), followed by a Master of Science in Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His academic journey laid the foundation for a successful career that spans several decades. 

His expertise contributed significantly to the success of companies promoted by the Mariwala family, including The Bombay Oil Industries Ltd., Kancor Flavours & Extracts Ltd., Eternis Fine Chemicals Ltd., and Marico Ltd.

His lifelong commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship led him to found Koyla-Ki Pvt. Ltd., a company with a mission to recover valuable by-products from agricultural waste.

He served as the President of the Indian Chemical Council and was honoured with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his transformative contributions that helped elevate the chemical industry in India to global standards.

His legacy will serve as a beacon for future generations, reminding us of the power of dedication and humility in creating lasting impact.
