KPI Green Energy appoints Surinder Kumar Negi as COO

KPI Green Energy Ltd., a leading player in India's renewable energy sector, announced the appointment of Surinder Kumar Negi as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Negi brings over four decades of extensive experience in the power transmission, renewable energy, and infrastructure development sectors, having held leadership roles at NTPC, POWERGRID, ALSTOM, Reliance Energy, Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO), and Skipperseil Ltd.

With a proven track record in power transmission, renewable integration, and project execution, Negi has been instrumental in shaping India's energy infrastructure. As Managing Director of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO), he added 830 new substations and 21,300 km of transmission lines, expanding Gujarat’s power grid to support over 23,000 MW of generation capacity. Under his leadership, GETCO invested over Rs. 12,000 crore in infrastructure development, achieving industry-leading transmission losses below 4% and improving system availability to 99.6%. His initiatives played a critical role in ensuring 24x7 uninterrupted power supply across Gujarat.
