LyondellBasell has officially appointed Dharmesh Shah as the new Managing Director – Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS), Africa, Middle East, and India (AfMEI). In his new role, Shah will oversee technical development, marketing strategies, customer service, and manufacturing functions tailored to the AfMEI economic zones.

Bringing more than 24 years of experience across specialty materials, chemicals, and market-facing businesses, Shah is poised to spearhead strategic growth and team transformation across these dynamic geographies.

Before stepping into his current position at LyondellBasell, he built a robust portfolio through high-profile leadership mandates at major global firms, including Dow Chemicals, Dow Corning, Philips India, Multibase, and MolyKote. His technological and sector-specific acumen is highly comprehensive, spanning advanced polymer formulations, thermoplastics, specialty lubricants, industrial adhesives, coatings, and semiconductor applications.
