Nitin Soni has been appointed as Commercial Director - South Asia of Huntsman Textile Effects, a company which brings innovations in sustainable textile dyes, chemicals and digital inks to iconic brands and retailers around the world.

Nitin will be based in Mumbai and is responsible for leading the commercial function of Huntsman Textile Effects in South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, etc.). He will lead the Sales and Technical Resource teams in the region to deliver on strategic objectives and growth goals. He will also join the Huntsman India leadership team.

Nitin has a wealth of commercial and marketing experience including business development, strategy, and execution with several large multinational companies across the chemical industry. Nitin most recently served as director and member of the board at Kinaltek Pty Ltd. where he was the Cofounder for KinCoat Metal Effects Pigments business. Prior to that, he worked in AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals for 10 years where he was the Regional Business Manager Asia Pacific and thereafter Global Business Development Manager based in Shanghai. He was also Manager Channel Sales with Tata Chemicals based in Mumbai.

Nitin started his career in the Indian Army as an officer and his last rank was Captain. A silver medalist in Executive MBA from Amity University, he holds a MCom degree in International Business, and completed a post graduate program in Business Management from IIM Indore. On the social front, Nitin served the Indian community in China during his tenure as General Secretary of the Indian Association in China.

Nitin is an adventure sports enthusiast, a marathoner, a triathlete and has keen interest in learning about different cultures, languages and cuisines.
