PPG appoints Robert Massy as CHRO

Massy will succeed Kevin Walling, who will retire from PPG on April 1, 2024

PPG today announced the appointment of Robert Massy as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective March 18, 2024. Reporting to Tim Knavish, PPG Chairman and CEO, Massy will be responsible for leading the company’s global human resources organization. He will be located at PPG’s global headquarters in Pittsburgh and serve as a member of the company’s Operating Committee.

Massy will succeed Kevin Walling, who will retire from PPG on April 1, 2024.

With 20 years of experience, most recently, Massy has served as executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and CHRO at Westinghouse Electric Company.

“Rob’s leadership and global business experience across multiple industries will be invaluable as PPG continues to execute its growth strategy and further develop its high-performance culture,” said Knavish.

Prior to joining Westinghouse, Massy held roles of increasing responsibility at Weatherford International as regional head of talent in the Asia-Pacific region and then global head of talent and development in the U.S. Before his roles with Weatherford, Massy built his HR career through a number of positions in Singapore and London.
