Saudi Kayan Petrochemical appoints Metab Zaid Al Shahrani as new CEO

Metab will assume his new role from 24 July 2022

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company has appointed Metab Zaid Al Shahrani as the company's CEO, effective 24 July 2022.
 
Al Shahrani succeeded Omar Ali Al Ruhaily, who occupied another position in the manufacturing sector at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), according to a press release.
 
The new appointment was based on the recommendation of the remuneration and nominations committee.
 
Al-Shahrani holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
 
He has diverse experience in the industrial and petrochemical sector and has held many leadership positions in SABIC. Previously, he was the president of Saudi Methanol Co. (Ar-Razi).
