Siddhartha Ghosal takes over from Chandrakant Nayak as Dow India President

Siddhartha will lead Dow India and India Sub-continent into its next chapter of growth and expansion

Dow Chemical International Private Limited (Dow India) has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Ghosal as its new country president, effective 1st January 2025. He will be taking over from Chandrakant Nayak who will be retiring by end of this year.

Siddhartha will lead Dow India and India Sub-continent into its next chapter of growth and expansion in the material science, with a focus on innovation, customer centricity, sustainability and a diverse, inclusive workplace culture.

Siddhartha’s leadership will emphasize fostering a work environment built on the values of equity and equality. In addition to championing a diverse and inclusive work culture, Siddhartha will spearhead initiatives that enhance customer centricity, drive operational efficiency, and deliver solutions that support sustainability and long-term growth for both the company and its customers.

Siddhartha is also the site director for Dow India Technology Centre at Juinagar, Navi Mumbai. With over twenty-four years of industry experience, his seventeen years at Dow span across different geographies, contributing to the success of Dow’s business units and proving his expertise in strategy planning, business development, R&D, and customer management. He is a core member of the Corporate Social Responsibility committee and plays a key role in mentorship and diversity initiatives within the company.

Siddhartha holds a Master of Science degree in synthetic organic chemistry from Mumbai University and an MBA in human resources from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
