Sujata Sharma has been appointed as Government Nominee Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). 

Sujata Sharma is an Indian Administrative Service Officer (Andhra Pradesh Cadre) and presently holding the position of Joint Secretary (M&OR) in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG).

She is a Law Graduate and Ph.D in Botany and has held various positions such as Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Hyderabad; District Collector Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh; Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Andhra Pradesh; Special Commissioner of Collegiate Education & Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh; Special Commissioner Health & Family Welfare, Andhra Pradesh; Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh; and Managing Director - Pradeshiya Industrial and Investment Corporation of UP Limited (PICUP).
