Sunil Kataria to succeed Balram Singh Yadav as CEO & MD of Godrej Agrovet

Yadav has played a key role in the company’s success, especially since becoming Managing Director of GAVL in 2009

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) has announced the appointment of Sunil Kataria as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director-Designate, effective May 5, 2025. Kataria will formally take over the role of CEO & Managing Director from September 1, 2025, for a five-year term lasting until August 31, 2030, subject to shareholder approval.

Kataria, a seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience, has held leadership roles across multiple sectors, including consumer packaged goods (CPG), telecom, and retail. Prior to joining Godrej Agrovet, he was Managing Director at Raymond Lifestyle Limited and previously served as CEO of India & SAARC for Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).

With a background in Economics from Delhi University and an MBA in Marketing from IMT Ghaziabad, Kataria started his career at Marico, spending over a decade developing expertise in marketing and sales.

Balram Singh Yadav, who has been with the Godrej Group since 1990, will continue serving as Managing Director of GAVL until August 31, 2025. Yadav has played a key role in the company’s success, especially since becoming Managing Director of GAVL in 2009.

Yadav’s reappointment for the term from May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025, is subject to shareholder approval.
