Tejveer Singh takes charge as new Chemical Secretary of India

Nivedita Shukla Verma, the outgoing Secretary of the DCPC, and other senior officials greeted Singh upon arrival

Tejveer Singh, IAS (PB: 1994), assumed charge as Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India.

Nivedita Shukla Verma, the outgoing Secretary of the DCPC, and other senior officials greeted Singh upon arrival.

Prior to his appointment as Secretary, DCPC, Singh was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Government of Punjab.

Tejveer Singh, a seasoned 1994-batch IAS officer of the Punjab Cadre, brings extensive administrative experience to his roles. He has held significant positions in the Government of Punjab, including key tenures as Secretary and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, alongside experience as a District Magistrate. 

Nivedita Shukla Verma, IAS, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. She will also hold additional charge of Secretary, Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare.
