Welspun appoints Neeraj Kant as CEO of steel vertical
He has over 37 years of extensive experience in the steel and steel products industry with three companies – SAIL, Tata Steel, and The Indian Steel & Wire Products Ltd.

Welspun Corp Limited, amongst the world’s leading manufacturers of large diameter pipes, has announced the appointment of Neeraj Kant to its leadership team.
The new appointment comes at a time when the company is looking to expand its steel business. Neeraj Kant has joined as “CEO - Steel Vertical” to lead the business expansion in existing markets and in addition, to establish and develop the B2C segment. The product portfolio in the Steel Vertical consists of Ductile Iron Pipes, Pig Iron, TMT Bars, Billets and Direct Reduced Iron.

Neeraj Kant will report directly to the Managing Director and CEO of WCL, Vipul Mathur.
Neeraj Kant has over 37 years of extensive experience in the steel and steel products industry with three companies – SAIL, Tata Steel, and The Indian Steel & Wire Products Ltd. (ISWP). Prior to joining WCL, he was the Managing Director of ISWP since 2013. He graduated from IIT, Kanpur in 1985 and completed his MBA from Edinburgh University Management School in 1996.
