The new grades are ideally suited for the production of polymer sheets used in construction, swimming pools, ventilation shafts, septic tanks, boat hulls
SIBUR has expanded its polymer portfolio with the development of new grades designed for sheet extrusion (SE) technology, unlocking broad opportunities for Russian industry. The company introduced SIBEX PP I013 SE, a propylene-ethylene block copolymer, and HD 10530 SE, a high-density ethylene-hexene-1 copolymer, both engineered to meet the evolving needs of processors across multiple sectors.
Tailored to deliver superior durability and performance, the new grades are ideally suited for the production of polymer sheets used in construction, swimming pools, ventilation shafts, septic tanks, boat hulls, and a wide range of infrastructure applications. By offering a high-quality domestic alternative, these innovations will fully replace similar European products that have exited the Russian market.
The SIBEX PP I013 SE grade offers enhanced physical and mechanical strength, ensuring superior load-bearing capacity in finished sheets. Its high weld strength guarantees the integrity and reliability of welded joints. The material has already been successfully homologated by leading industry manufacturers.
The HD 10530 SE grade demonstrates excellent thermal stability, which improves processability and supports the production of sheets with exceptional strength and resilience.
Both grades were developed through close collaboration between SIBUR’s technical service team and the scientists at the SIBUR PolyLab research and development center.
Commenting on the launch, Vasily Mashukov, Director of Applied Development at SIBUR PolyLab, said: “The creation of these new grades is the result of close cooperation with sheet manufacturers. For today’s construction industry, stability and predictability of materials are essential. The new line developed at SIBUR PolyLab delivers these qualities and establishes a strong foundation for the growth of Russia’s polymer sheet segment.”
