Tata Strategic Management Group to be knowledge partner for task force on chem

Mumbai-based consulting firm Tata Strategic Management Group will be the knowledge partner for the task force set up to study various facets of the chemical industry.

Mumbai-based consulting firm Tata Strategic Management Group will be the knowledge partner for the task force set up to study various facets of the chemical industry.

Recognising the importance of the chemical sector to the growth of the Indian economy, the government has set up the task force under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) to develop a vision for 2020, examine major policy issues and make recommendations for enhancing investment and global competitiveness.

The task force will submit its recommendations to the government within six months.

According to the Tata Strategic Management Group, the Indian chemical market is poised to move into the next phase with 12-15 per cent annualized growth till 2012.
