Tristar Intermediates proposes to raise production capacity

Tristar Intermediates Pvt Ltd. has proposed to expand its production capacity of disperse dyes couplers, EO Condensate and perfumeries products at its unit at Sarigam in Gujarat's Valsad district.

Tristar Intermediates Pvt Ltd. has proposed to expand its production capacity of disperse dyes couplers, EO Condensate and perfumeries products at its unit at Sarigam in Gujarat?s Valsad district.

The company currently produces 126 MT of disperse dyes couplers, EO Condensate and perfumeries per month and it wants to raise that capacity to 991 MT per month.

The proposed capacity of the by-products is 93.07 MTPM as against the current output of 6036 MTPM.

Till date the company has spend Rs 178 lakh in the project and the expansion will need another Rs 79 lakh.

The total plot area is 3,300 sq m. The unit has developed 50 sq m area as greenbelt and other forms of greenery. After the proposed expansion, the company will develop a total about 1,200 sq m area as greenbelt.

In its presentation to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for environmental clearance, the company said there will not be any major potential for negative impact on the environment due to the proposed project.

On the contrary, there will be positive impact on the socio-economic environment since the proposed project will generate some permanent and secondary employment and it will increase direct and indirect employment opportunities, the company said.

The increasing industrial activity will also boost up the commercial and economic status of the locality, it said.

In order to mitigate the air pollutants and to attenuate the noise generated by the plant and also improving the ecology and aesthetics of the area, the unit will develop the additional green belt, the company said.

The company it will adopt all safety and hazard identification measures besides a strong disaster management policy.

There will be medical check-up facilities for all employees, the company said. Monitoring of occupational hazards like noise, ventilation, chemical exposure shall be carried out at frequent intervals.
