Vardhaman Organics has sought the environmental clearance form the Ministry of Environment and Forests to change the product mix at its existing dye intermediates plants at Sachin in Surat district of Gujarat. The company proposes to add manufacturing of dyes and pesticides intermediates in its existing plant.

In a presentation to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the company informed that it is planning to increase the capacity by 13 TPM from the current 30 TPM. The expansion includes the manufacturing of 8TPM of acid dyes and 5 TPM of solvent dyes.

The company invested Rs 1.15 crore on the existing plant and will invest another Rs 71 lakhs on the expansion. This includes Rs 15 lakhs for environment protection measures.

Moreover, Vardhaman Organics does not need any new land or plot for the expansion of the plant capacity. As the plant is already operational, all major infrastructure like road, electricity, and water are available at site.
