Indo Amines has received conditional approval from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to resume operations at its Mahad manufacturing facility in Raigad, Maharashtra.

The plant had been shut down since August 15, 2026, following a tragic gas leakage incident that caused two fatalities.

The restart permission covers general industrial activities but explicitly excludes the production of Tertiary Butylamine (TBU) / Tetra Butyl Urea. As part of the conditions, Indo Amines submitted a bank guarantee of Rs 4,00,000 to the MPCB and must strictly follow environmental and safety directives.
