Braskem has entered into a partnership with AgTech Garage, an innovation hub that promotes the connection between large companies, startups and educational institutions, with the objective of facilitating and accelerating the development of technological and innovative solutions for agribusiness.

With the initiative, the company intends to connect with startups and other AgTech Garage partners to, through open innovation, promote the development of sustainable and innovative plastic solutions for agribusiness. In addition, the partnership with AgTech Garage will be an important tool in identifying and attracting agro-related startups to Braskem Labs, a startup acceleration program that develops innovative projects that have a positive impact on the environment and people's lives.

"It is part of our strategy to promote the development of new technological initiatives for agribusiness. The partnership with AgTech Garage strengthens Braskem's presence in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the sector", celebrates Ana Paiva, responsible for market development of the Agro platform at Braskem. "We already have in our history the concern of promoting sustainable businesses created from chemicals and plastics, with Braskem Labs, and this partnership with AgTech Garage is important for the identification of agro startups that will apply for the next editions of the program", adds Karla Censi, responsible for Braskem Labs.

Located in Piracicaba, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Agtech Garage is present in the region known as the "Vale do Piracicaba", an allusion to Silicon Valley, the main high-tech generation center in the United States, which has attracted technology companies, educational institutions and agribusiness investors.

"It is a pleasure to be Braskem's hub of choice to boost its innovation initiatives for Agribusiness. Without a doubt, the potential of new sustainable chemical and plastic solutions, based on circular economy concepts, will be fundamental for the agribusiness chain of the future. Collaborating with Braskem on this journey will be fascinating", adds José Tomé, CEO of AgTech Garage.
