Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with AAK, a leading supplier of sustainably sourced, technologically advanced plant-based ingredients for the beauty and personal care industry. Effective immediately, Azelis will distribute AAK’s complete range of emollients for Personal Care in South Korea.

Following a successful commercial relationship between Azelis and AAK for Food & Nutrition in the Americas region, this is the first partnership with AAK in Asia Pacific. With over 150 years of experience in plant-based oils, AAK offers tailored solutions with proven performance. Its comprehensive range of emollients, renowned for their high oxidative stability, is widely used in skin care, hair care, and cosmetic applications. These emollients provide a range of benefits, including conditioning, enhanced sensory experiences, skin repair, and improved product stability.

AAK's commitment to sustainability aligns with Azelis' aim to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. By offering natural alternatives, this agreement empowers Azelis to meet the growing market demand for eco-friendly solutions, such as increasing the natural index of end products, and supporting the shift towards more sustainable formulations in the South Korean market.

Ben Sales, International Sales Manager, Personal Care of AAK, says: “Collaborating with Azelis in South Korea marks an exciting chapter for AAK. Azelis’ market penetration and outstanding laboratory capabilities complement our offerings. Their commitment to customer satisfaction makes them an ideal partner of choice, and we look forward to working together to support our customers in the personal care industry.”

Sasirin Sirilerdrawee, Asia Pacific Personal Care Market Segment Director at Azelis, adds: “Azelis Korea has been actively supporting leading industry players in the shift towards sustainable formulations. We are pleased to add AAK’s quality ingredients to our personal care portfolio, aligning with Azelis’ aim to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. We are grateful for AAK’s trust, and are proud to bring these solutions closer to the market.”
