This new certification will enable the gradual introduction of a full range of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives

Arkema, a global leader in specialty materials, has earned ISCC PLUS certification for its specialty acrylic and alkyd resins, as well as its polyester liquid and powder resins, at its Navi Mumbai facility in India.

This milestone is part of Arkema’s global mass balance roadmap. The certification will enable the company to better support customers across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East with environmentally responsible coating solutions for applications in energy and infrastructure efficiency, e-mobility, advanced technologies, urbanization, and enhanced living comfort.

“Navi Mumbai is a key production and innovation hub in the region where we have been working on new solutions, including gradually substituting virgin fossil feedstocks with renewable and more circular sources, to improve our offer. This demonstrates Arkema’s commitment to support customers in pursuing their own sustainability goals and to bring more circular and lower carbon footprint solutions,” Vivek Jagtap, Managing Director Arkema Chemicals India.

This new certification will enable the gradual introduction of a full range of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives, including high solids, waterborne, UV-LED-EB, and polyester powder materials. It also complements the recent ISCC PLUS certifications of Arkema’s powder coating resin facilities in Spain and Malaysia, further expanding the company’s global sustainable offering.
