Avantium, a leader in renewable and circular polymer materials, has officially earned ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 certifications for its FDCA Flagship Plant in Delfzijl.

The comprehensive audit, conducted by DNV, confirmed that Avantium’s environmental, safety, and quality management systems meet internationally recognized standards.

The triple certification underscores Avantium’s commitment to responsible operations: reducing environmental impact (ISO 14001), ensuring a safe workplace (ISO 45001), and delivering consistent, high-quality performance (ISO 9001). The achievement highlights the company’s dedication to scaling sustainable FDCA production with top-tier operational discipline.

“Receiving these certifications is a testament to the hard work of our people and the values that guide Avantium,” said Nanda Weitering, Quality Manager at Avantium. “Safety and sustainability are at the heart of how we operate every day, and these standards strengthen the foundation on which we are helping to build a fossil‑free chemical industry.”

This milestone positions Avantium as a global frontrunner in sustainable chemistry, combining innovation with rigorous operational standards.
