DCM Shriram Chemicals demonstrates continued sustainability commitment by achieving another milestone - ISCC PLUS certification for its Jhagadia site in Bharuch, Gujarat. DCM Shriram Chemicals, a unit of DCM Shriram Ltd received ISCC Plus certified last week.

The certification is for various products being manufactured proportionately from renewable energy at the company’s Jhagadia site. The products include Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium hydroxide, Hydrogen, Chlorine, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrochloric Acid.

The site is also India’s largest single site caustic soda manufacturing plant. This recognition reinforces the company’s commitment towards sustainability. It will differentiate the company in the market and help further its trust with eco-conscious consumers and stakeholders.

“The certification is another milestone in our sustainability journey and will help us stay ahead of evolving regulations, ensuring long-term compliance and business resilience”, an official said.

The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is an independent multi-stakeholder initiative and leading certification system supporting sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains.

The ISCC Plus framework guides the industry to implement robust sustainability strategies, measure environmental impact, and continuously optimize processes to reduce the carbon footprint and resource consumption.
