Mitsui Chemicals secures ISCC PLUS certification for ACTCOL

Japanese chemicals major Mitsui Chemicals has achieved a major sustainability milestone.
The company has announced that its ACTCOL product, produced at its Nagoya Works in January 2026, has earned certification under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS system, officially recognizing it as a sustainable product.
The company emphasized its commitment to expanding environmentally responsible solutions.
“Aiming to expand the adoption of biomass-based products and chemically recycled products under a mass balance system, Mitsui Chemicals Group plans to continue working toward the acquisition of ISCC PLUS certification to contribute to further advances in society’s use of biomass and improvement of plastic recycling rates,” the company said.
