The Bedizzole plant is capable of producing over 40,000 tons of recycled polymers per year
Sustainable chemical and energy solutions major NEXTCHEM has inaugurated its new 30,000-square-metre MyReplast upcycling plant in Bedizzole, Brescia, in a ceremony attended by local authorities and company leadership.
The facility, part of the NEXTCHEM family since 2019, features modern offices, meeting rooms, and a showroom with an experiential area where clients can witness the full plastic upcycling process—from flakes to finished products.
The Bedizzole plant is capable of producing over 40,000 tons of recycled polymers per year, handling a wide range of plastic waste from both industrial post-consumer sources, such as car components and packaging production waste, and urban post-consumer streams from municipal recycling.
Using NEXTCHEM’s proprietary NX Replast technology, the plant achieves a recycling efficiency of 95%, delivering high-purity “r-polymers” suitable for premium, high value-added markets.
The ceremony drew top executives and public officials, including Fabrizio Di Amato, Chairman and Founder of MAIRE; Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE; Fabio Fritelli, Managing Director of NEXTCHEM; Raffaele Cattaneo, Undersecretary for International and European Relations of Lombardy; Alvise Biffi, President of Assolombarda; and Giovanni Cottini, Mayor of Bedizzole.
Fabrizio Di Amato commented: "The inauguration of these innovative premises reaffirms our commitment to advanced plastic waste recycling. Thanks to proprietary technologies such as NX Replast, we are able to offer tangible, sustainable solutions for the energy transition and the circular economy. We are proud of MAIRE's recognition as a benchmark in Europe for promoting Italian excellence and expertise worldwide."
NEXTCHEM also operates additional production and commercial facilities in the United Arab Emirates, strengthening its global footprint in the circular economy.
