Trinseo’s polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) depolymerization plant in Rho, Italy, has officially earned its first ISO 9001:2015 certification, a globally recognized benchmark for Quality Management Systems.
The certification recognizes organizations that deliver consistent quality, efficiency, and a customer-focused approach while driving continuous improvement.
“This certification is an important milestone for our Rho facility and a strong validation of Trinseo's ongoing commitment to maintaining the high standards our customers and partners expect,” said Aldo Zanetti, Trinseo’s Global Sustainability Business Leader. “Congratulations to our entire team at Rho for this significant accomplishment.”
The Rho facility specializes in converting PMMA waste into recycled methyl methacrylate using depolymerization technology, producing high-quality recycled monomers for demanding applications. The ISO 9001:2015 certification underscores Trinseo’s disciplined approach to quality management, risk-focused decision making, and operational excellence.
Trinseo’s ISO achievements extend beyond Rho. Facilities in Mussolente, Italy; Saint-Avold, France; and Bristol, Pennsylvania, and Louisville, Kentucky, in the US, also hold the certification. Globally, Trinseo’s corporate certification covers more than a dozen of its facilities.
The company transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 standards in 2018, making it one of the first global companies to operate under an integrated, certified Quality Management System.
