Nuberg bags contract for chlor alkali plant in Abu Dhabi

The contract is a breakthrough project for Nuberg as it is the only India-based company spearheading the EPC Industry on global front for turnkey project engineering services and solutions

Nuberg has bagged Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) project from Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) of Saif Al Khaili Group, a UAE-based conglomerate. The $76 million project envisions to set-up a 150 TPD chlor alkali/caustic chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), Abu Dhabi, UAE, which will produce caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives such as caustic soda, chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.

The contract is a breakthrough project for Nuberg as it is the only India-based company spearheading the EPC Industry on global front for turnkey project engineering services and solutions; an industry which has gigantic potential and is capable of bringing another revolution as IT (Information Technology) did to India. This is because the information technology and the EPC are both skill-driven industries, the latter being highly ignored. The awarded project will use the highly sought-after modern bipolar membrane cell technology due to its sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental considerations.

Louai Kasem, CEO, Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) said, "We are delighted to have Nuberg on board. Nuberg is the leading EPC Company for Chlor Alkali industry in UAE with a proven track record of executing projects worldwide. Nuberg will definitely add value to our endeavor with its excellent capabilities and quality services coupled with highly competitive costs."

AK Tyagi, MD, Nuberg Engineering said, "We are thankful to Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) for entrusting our turnkey project engineering capabilities and our EPC services and solutions for its Chlor Alkali plant. This contract reinforces our headship in UAE, an area where we have been associated with all players of Chlor Alkali industry and have delivered projects successfully. The project fortifies our commitment towards building sustainable and profitable assets for our customers worldwide."
