The scope of the project includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction (EPFC) of four LPG spheres—each measuring approximately 88 feet in diameter, with 63,100 barrels nominal capacity and 290 pounds per square inch design pressure.
In addition to the ethylene cracker technology, TechnipFMC provided key proprietary technology components including a Heat Integrated Rectifier System, Ripple Trays and Wet Air Oxidation process.
CFCL constructed and commissioned its third ammonia plant with a production capacity of 2200 MTPD, which has achieved an energy consumption even lower than the guaranteed value of 6.417 Gcal per metric ton during its test run period, making it the world's most efficient ammonia plant.
The company has announced that CB&I Storage Solutions has been awarded three contracts for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction (EPFC) of 38 tanks and 13 spheres in multiple locations across Saudi Arabia.
