Syensqo launched its bio-based additive Easysoft PA to improve the sensory experience of fabric softeners. The product uses proprietary guar-based polymer technology, which helps fabric softeners deliver longer-lasting fragrance and softness.

Easysoft PA's technology offers several advantages for home care product formulators and consumers.

It improves the efficiency of scent delivery from both fragrance oils and encapsulated formats, leading to a richer and longer-lasting fragrance for the consumer.

The additive enables fabric softener manufacturers to lower the amount of quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), which can lead to cost savings and reduced environmental impact. It helps maintain consistent rheology (the flow and deformation of matter), which results in stable and reliable product formulations.

“Easysoft PA is at the sweet spot of the cost–performance–sustainability equation,” says Max Chabert, Home Care Global Marketing Manager at Syensqo. “By enabling formulators to efficiently deliver superior fragrance and softness, we are empowering fabric softener brands to respond to consumer demands while capturing opportunities for premiumization.”

The additive is derived from renewable sources and contains no microplastics, aligning with the growing consumer demand for more sustainable home care products.
