The Ministry of Environment & Forest has given its go ahead to Rallis India for setting up of a Rs 200 crore agrochemical manufacturing plant at village Lakhigam,  SEZ Dahej, in Bharuch, Gujarat.

The company had proposed to set up 52000 TPA Agrochemical Technical and 10000 TPA  Agrochemical Formulations plant along with 6MW Captive Power Plant to meet  the rising export as well as domestic demand for the  Crop protection products with state of art environment friendly technology.

According to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, the plant when fully operational is expected to provide direct employment to 450 Persons and indirect employment to another 10000 persons. The capital cost of the project is Rs. 200 crores.
