DCM Nouvelle Specialty Chemicals to invest Rs. 120 crore for specialty amines

The company is jumping into the business of Alkyl & Aromatic Amines and is investing about Rs. 120 crore in Phase-1 for setting up a state-of-the-art production facility

DCM Nouvelle Specialty Chemicals Limited, a subsidiary of DCM Group, formerly known as DCM Textiles - a 120-year-old company, is investing Rs. 120 crore to make Specialty Amines in India.

The company is jumping into the business of “Alkyl & Aromatic Amines” and is investing about Rs. 120 crore in Phase-1 for setting up a state-of-the-art production facility.

DCM Nouvelle Specialty Chemicals Limited is setting up a project at Vikram Udyogpuri, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. The greenfield facility will produce Benzylamines and Cyclohexylamine with a production capacity of 8,000 tons/year. The new facility is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of FY 2023-24.

The project is based on in-house developed process technologies. The company is developing manufacturing processes for the entire bouquet of Specialty Amines and will soon be adding plants to manufacture these at Vikram Udyogpuri, Ujjain.

The company has 21 acres of land where DCM Group is planning to create a world class specialty chemicals complex.

The Specialty Amines produced by DCM Nouvelle Specialty Chemicals Limited will find applications in the Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Rubber Chemicals, and Oil Additives sector.
