Eurotecnica, the technology arm of the Proman family of companies, a global leader in natural gas derived products and services, recently announced the award by Xinji Energy Chemical Co. Ltd. of a contract for the implementation of the largest high pressure melamine plant in the world with a 120,000 ton per year capacity.

Xinji Energy Chemical Co.Ltd. has selected Eurotecnica’s ultimate 5th generation (G5) proprietary Euromel technology for the design and implementation of this landmark project, which lifts the total licensed nameplate capacity to more than 1 million ton/year and 26 plants worldwide.

Xinjiang Xuefeng, the group Xinji belongs to, is already the largest melamine producer in the world, and has chosen Eurotecnica’s Euromel because it features the lowest energy consumption on the market. This feature, together with the traditional no-catalyst, no-added chemicals, no-effluents to be treated, makes Xinji’s choice by far the most competitive in terms of operational as well as capital expenses.

The award confirms Euromel as the leading melamine technology in Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. Proman is the world’s second largest methanol producer, and a leading producer of anhydrous ammonia, urea ammonium nitrate and melamine, with production facilities in Trinidad and Tobago, the US and Oman and ongoing expansion into Mexico, Canada and the UAE.
