Insecticides (India) Chopanki R&D Centre gets GLP Certification

IIL's Chopanki, Rajasthan-based lab is now the 52nd in India to receive this Certification.

Insecticides (India) Limited (IIL) has been given the prestigious GLP (Good Laboratory Practise) compliance certification for one of its Research Lab at Chopanki, Rajasthan by National Good Laboratory Practice(GLP) Compliance Monitoring Authority (NGCMA) of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

This is a highly coveted accreditation so far awarded to just 51 labs in India. IIL's Chopanki, Rajasthan-based lab is now the 52nd in India to receive this Certification.

Commenting on the milestone, Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, IIL, said, "We are committed to agricultural research and development since inception and work tirelessly to provide the latest technology to our farmers. Our efforts and the uttermost care we take in adhering to all good practices that are anticipated out of a world-class labs are reflected in this latest certification for our Chopanki R&D lab. With this, we look forward to get an edge for our research and registrations in India and globally. NGCMA GLP compliance certification has been acknowledged by major nations worldwide."

Mukesh Kumar, Vice President also mentioned "GLP certification has been given to our Research Facilities at Chopanki by the name of Sanskriti Research Foundation. GLP is a reputed certification which an R&D Laboratory receives, to produce authentic Data. There are only 52 certified Test facilities of NGCMA, India which are producing the data for the Chemical registration for India and in other countries. This will add a credibility to the research and its findings, globally."

Insecticides (India) Limited's three QA (Quality Assurance) Labs & QC(Quality Control) at Chopanki, Dahej and Samba have already been recognised by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) which shows its adherence to the standards and process in the pursuit of the best quality products.

Today, IIL has four different streams of state of the art R & D Facilities at different locations that includes new product discovery, backward integration, new combinations and formulations and Biologicals. IIL has been granted with 13 product patents and 4 process patents so far and more than 12 patents are under process. The company was recently granted two significant patents for novel agrochemical compounds as well.
