OCCL commissions first phase of Insoluble Sulphur plant

Oriental Chemicals & Carbon Limited (OCCL) has commissioned the first phase of its project for expansion of Insoluble Sulphur production capacity at Dharuhera. 
 
The capacity of the Insoluble Sulphur plant is 5,500 MTPA. Insoluble Sulphur is sold under the brand DIAMOND SULF and is used as vulcanising agent in application where Sulphur loading levels are required above the Sulphur solubility rating of particular elastomers. DIAMOND SULF is offered in various grades to satisfy diverse compounding requirements majorly for the tyre industry.
 
The Insoluble Sulphur project is funded by a mix of loans and internal accruals with a debt equity ratio of 2:1.
