Sulzer celebrated the launch of its new service center for mass transfer components and services in the Econova Business Park in Essen, Northwest Germany. While mass transfer components are used to improve the efficiency of chemical operations, the new facility provides operational capabilities supported by local service teams to ensure optimal performance in the region’s chemical and process industries.

As a service specialist for the chemical and process industries, Sulzer’s new service hub in Essen is strategically positioned and equipped to improve the reliability and responsiveness of the supply chain for customers in the region.

Featuring best-in-class manufacturing technology, quality assurance and test systems, a warehouse, and offices for sales and support functions, the new service center provides regional chemical and process companies with the benefit of additional localized manufacturing and engineering capabilities. In particular, the facility manufactures a wide range of mass transfer components, including various types of structured packings, trays, and internals, to ensure seamless and reliable, on-time delivery to European clients.

The Essen facility also offers tower field service expertise, enabling fast response times and additional support for installation and service requirements, including a leading automated weld overlay technology for improved corrosion and high-temperature resistance. Both the tower field service and customer support teams are based on-site to provide technical advice to customers, address supply chain bottlenecks and ensure timely service.

Sulzer Executive Chairwoman Suzanne Thoma said: “Our integrated solutions, engineering expertise and extensive experience drive efficiency across essential industries. This investment in our network capabilities underscores our long-standing commitment to sustainable growth and future prosperity.”
