WeylChem Group of Companies has commissioned a new 3,000-ton oleum tank at its Bilbao site. The installation, which had begun in November 2021, was completed on February 28. The investment volume was around two million euros.

The company had acquired additional space on the port site in order to achieve the expanded tank capacity with optimal safety precautions for people and the environment.

The Group’s President Uwe Brunk comments: "This tank gives us the flexibility we need to further expand our oleum business. It will enable us to offer our customers an even higher level of supply reliability for sulfur-based products. Given the declining availability of sulfur, this represents a real competitive advantage."
