L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has entered into a strategic go-to-market partnership with Databricks to develop and deploy next-generation Industrial AI solutions aimed at transforming operations for asset-intensive industries.
The collaboration will leverage LTTS’ deep engineering and sustainability expertise alongside the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to help industrial enterprises unlock value from decades of operational and engineering data.
The initiative will focus on advancing Engineering Intelligence (EI), enabling organizations to improve asset reliability, boost operational efficiency and accelerate sustainability outcomes.
Targeting global clients across the energy, petrochemicals and industrial sectors, the partnership is designed to convert complex plant and asset data into actionable intelligence that drives faster, smarter decision-making across the engineering lifecycle.
By combining LTTS’ experience across more than 600 major industrial plants worldwide with Databricks’ advanced AI, analytics and data capabilities, the alliance will enable enterprises to build and scale intelligent applications, AI agents and advanced analytics solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
The partnership will offer a suite of Industrial AI solutions spanning Predictive Asset Reliability, Energy & Emissions Optimization, OEE and Production Intelligence, Quality Intelligence, and Sustainability Analytics.
These solutions will integrate real-time operational data, advanced AI and machine learning models, and natural language-based insights to help engineers and plant operators access and act on critical operational intelligence with greater speed and precision.
Julien Debbard, Director for Energy and Utilities, Databricks, said, “The bottleneck in energy and utilities has never been data; it’s been context. You can stream every signal off a 600-megawatt turbine, but without the engineering knowledge to know what those signals actually mean, your AI model is just guessing.
"That’s exactly the gap this partnership closes. LTTS carries decades of asset-level expertise across power generation, refining, and grid infrastructure; the kind of knowledge that usually lives only in the heads of your most seasoned engineers. Paired with the Databricks Platform, we can now encode that expertise and put it to work with every reliability engineer, plant operator, and sustainability team at scale and across the full asset lifecycle.”
The announcement comes as industrial companies increasingly seek to harness AI to modernize operations, reduce downtime, optimize energy consumption and achieve sustainability goals while navigating growing operational complexity.
Commenting on the partnership, Alind Saxena, Executive Director & President – Strategic Initiatives & Growth Markets, L&T Technology Services, said, “Industrial enterprises are sitting on decades of operational and engineering data that holds the key to improving performance, sustainability and competitiveness.
"Yet many organizations still struggle to convert this data into meaningful operational decisions. Through our Engineering Intelligence approach, this partnership with Databricks will combine industry-leading AI and data capabilities with LTTS’ deep tech and engineering expertise to unlock value at scale. This is more than a technology partnership, it is an outcomes-driven collaboration focused on delivering measurable business impact for our global clients.”
The alliance marks a significant step in accelerating AI adoption across industrial environments, bringing together engineering expertise and enterprise-scale data intelligence to help organizations drive productivity, resilience and sustainable growth.
